3. Precautions for use and maintenance of R134a.

b. R 134a cannot be mixed with R 12 refrigerant refrigerating machine oil, because R 134a is incompatible with R 12 refrigerating system refrigerating machine oil. The R12 refrigeration system generally uses domestic No. 18 and No. 25 refrigeration oils or SUNISO3GS, SUNISO4GS, and SUNISO5GS refrigeration oils produced in Japan, while the R134a system generally uses synthetic polyalkylene glycol, that is, PAG (Polyalokylene Glycol) oil or polyester (Poly Ester) oil. )Oil.
c. Wear safety glasses and gloves when checking and repairing the refrigeration system. Do not let the liquid refrigerant touch the skin, especially the hands and eyes, to avoid frostbite.
d. Same as PAG oil and R 134a, there will be two layers of separation (separation of the two) in the high temperature area and the low temperature area (Figure 1). Therefore, when filling R 134, it needs to be placed in a container filled with hot water. Heating, but the temperature should not exceed 40°C. It is absolutely forbidden to use a heating device such as a blowtorch to heat, and try to prevent the separation of the two layers, so as to avoid adverse effects on the exhaust pressure and refrigeration of the compressor.
e. The R 134a system must use special sealing rings and gaskets. The cooling oil used will cause the sealing rings and gaskets used in the R 12 system to foam and fail, resulting in refrigerant leakage.
f. When filling R 134a, keep the container containing R 134a in an upright position to ensure that R 134a enters the system in a gaseous state, otherwise, R 134a may enter the compression surface in a liquid state and damage the compressor. In addition, The filling operation must be carried out in a ventilated place to prevent the operator from suffocating due to cylinder oxygen.
g. The liquid storage drier (or gas-liquid separator) must be sealed and stored, and its installation must be rapid; otherwise, the air entering the liquid storage drier (or gas-liquid separator) will weaken the desiccant’s ability to absorb heat, or even fail.
